Overwhelmed

We are all going through something, and many of us tend to shy away from sharing the deeper parts of our struggles. I’ve been wondering why it’s so difficult to seek help when we feel overwhelmed by the weight and heaviness of our burdens.
My family is currently preparing for the loss of our matriarch. Without going into too much detail, I understand that death is a part of life. It can come unexpectedly or linger painfully as you wonder, "Is today the day?" I am no stranger to loss, having experienced everything from the shocking middle-of-the-night calls to quietly watching as cancer relentlessly ravages a body. This is part of our earthly experience.
As we navigate this challenging season, I find myself leaning more into silent prayer and relying on my close circle of friends and family. I keep busy with work because it helps calm my mind and allows me to focus on serving others.
Take the time to let the important people in your life know how much they mean to you while you have the chance. We often hear that we should call, write, or send a text to check in, but life can get in the way. Just as we schedule our meetings and work commitments, we should prioritize scheduling time for those we love.
Blessings,
Marcie
